I think it's a cool idea for magnus to challenge sindarov if he wins the title, but at that point magnus has everything to lose so not much incentive besides bragging rights(which he already has regardless). He's still considered the best in the world so if he challenges him it will just be a sort of know ur place moment. I think him giving up the world title was a very good business decision on his end in that it means that he's one of the few champions never to actually "lose" the title. And because of that there would no need for him to play sindarov as if he wins then he's still the best which everyone knows he is, while if he loses then it's like he did actually lose the title.
