i think what gave the minecraft soundtrack the edge it had was the fact that c418 didnt really fully know what he was doing, he was a house producer trying to make ambient music, and you can hear where he is being pushed very far out of his comfort zone, the new tracks arent bad but they contrast so much with c418

At this point the Aether mod is developed primarily by Katie Payne and Beatrice Conlon with a bunch of other people actively helping its development. Kingbdogz is still around but I am unsure how much he contributes to it at this point. As much as I dislike the Marketplace system, the Aether being added to it helped substantially fund further development of the Aether and the Aether II mods.

Instead of saying the Sift is important for progression, they could add multiple endings. the Sift unlocking one of them. with that it would be a progession addition to the game without interrupting the already existing Overworld -> Nether -> End Progression
