Listen to “Everything Is Moving On” here:
‘Everything Is Moving On’ serves as the third single from her highly anticipated upcoming studio album, Hytress, set for release on January 15, 2027. Centred on a simple but urgent idea, the song delivers a powerful message: life is happening right now.
At its heart, ‘Everything Is Moving On’ is about time, change, and the choices we make while life keeps moving around us. It is a reminder not to keep postponing what matters, but to be present, take chances, and recognise when it is time to move forward.
Floor Jansen on ‘Everything Is Moving On’: “For me, this song is about being awake to the life you have now. We so easily tell ourselves we’ll do something later, but life keeps moving. Enjoy it, take the chances that matter to you, and make choices that feel right for who you are and where you want to go. Sometimes that also means letting go of things that no longer feel right. Those choices aren’t always easy. You can be grateful for everything that brought you to where you are, and still recognise when something no longer fits who you are now, or who you want to be. Every experience and every person leaves something with you. Moving on doesn’t erase that; you take it with you into whatever comes next.”
That sense of urgency runs directly through the song’s lyrics:
“Time, your life is now
Your dreams will not be waiting to come true somehow
Grow, no time to waste
Know that we’re forever fading.”
But the song also makes room for stillness:
“Let us slow down fast
Take that breath and last
To know where you are today.”
That contrast sits at the heart of ‘Everything Is Moving On’: life moves fast, so be present for it.

I knew you from Nightwish and now this Era is over I will still follow your work, can’t wait for what’s coming, one of the best singers in the history of heavy music 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Turning the page to begin a new chapter…

Zu sehr Pop.
Aber gut gesungen.
Our Valkyria!
Floor certainly isn't a bad singer. But she needs a strong songwriter to truly shine musically, and apparently, she doesn't have one. The new songs are pleasant enough, inoffensive, and will surely get some airplay on one radio station or another. However, they're miles away from being masterpieces or future classics. At least the new album seems to have a bit more heaviness to it than Paragon. The album did, however, work wonderfully as a sleep aid. I'm curious to see how her solo career develops outside of Nightwish.
Amazing video & song 🔥🔥🔥. You're Queen 👑🎙🎶🤘🏻🔥
ook in 013 ????
You are such a strong woman, Floor! ❤🔥Your strength has been an inspiration to me lately… 🙏I love you so much…❤🤘
🤘🏻⚔️❤️🔥FJ🔥❤️⚔️🤘🏻
Nightwish was just dragging you down – way to go girl
I got to know your voice thanks to the Nightwish, and I'm happy for it happened. I loved how you sang their old songs too. Even if I sad for the changes now, I will want to hear what you will sing in the future.
Here I am at 45 and I have found the fangirl in myself. This song is beautiful.
She had already built a successful career long before Nightwish. She was already a star in her own right, so she didn't owe anyone a thank-you for her success but herself. ❤ Queen.
Minha cantora favorita. Sou sua fã Floor. 😍😍😍
And that is our hope..keep Rockin' Floor ❤🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Lovely video and song with such a true message that we so often seem to forget in our day to day life. I love that the Fan Friday clips made it in as well as some great footage from Floor's performing career. Such an icon. And still so much to come! Love from NYC 🤘
Your voice is awesome
Excelente Floor, exitos es esta nueva etapa. Aguante Floor . Tu vido inspira para aquellos que estamos encerrados en una zona de confort que nos cuesta salir. Hay que dar un nuevo paso, la vida continua.
The structure and arrangement on this track are absolute perfection! Such a refreshing blend of modern metal drive and pop sensibility. Those musical lines and unexpected turns blew me away. Floor never ceases to amaze! 💥🔥

This is her life, her anthem. I will always stay with you, Floor.
Kinda disappointed by all her new releases, even though this one is slightly better than the other two singles! Like, girl, you wrote some AMAZING music in After Forever and Revamp… you’re going solo now, so WHERE IS THE FLOOR JANSEN?!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Awesome ❤🔥Song 🤘, Brutal.
Woow tremenda retrospectiva.
